Brief Description

Chulalongkorn University is the first institution for higher learning established in Thailand. Founded by King Vajiravudh (King Rama VI) in March 1917. Located in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, Chulalongkorn University covers a tract of land covering approximately two million square meters (494 acres), of which about 50% is dedicated solely to academic activities. Currently, we offer more than 400 academic programs, of which approximately 25% are international programs using English as the medium of instruction. We have played a leading role in national and international development as we move towards the second century. Our graduates have served the people by applying their knowledge and expertise for the advancement and prosperity of society and contributing toward the development of the nation in all areas.

CU’s main library holds one of the largest collections in Thailand, with over a million books, 339,000 e-books, 42,000 e-thesis, 16,000 e-journals, 200 databases, 4,000 journals and a number of rare publications.
