A candidate institution for membership must be nominated by one or more Founding Members with a letter of recommendation submitted to the Secretariat. Upon approval by the Presidency and the Executive Presidency, the nomination shall be presented at the Board Meeting for consideration. Candidates shall be assessed according to the membership criteria specified below. Candidates shall be admitted to membership of the AUA upon approval by a two-thirds majority of active voting members.
